Barbecuing Ribs
posted by CCI can’t believe this wasn’t up already, its time to record this for the new season!
Barbecue Ribs
Ingredients
Dry Rub:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp paprika
- 2 tbsp chili powder
Method
- Cut ribs into 6″ long strips
- Remove the outer membrane from the ribs
- Cover ribs in dry rub
- Heat bbq to 225F
- Place on the side opposite the burner – indirect heat only, with a drip pan underneath (use wood chips for flavour if desired)
Cook to an internal temperature of 200F, probably 3 – 4 hours. Last time we tried this the grill ended up at 295F and it took 2 1/2 hours.
Optionally, cook until there is a crust around them, then wrap in foil for the rest of the time; this is supposed to make them more tender.

Did you have ribs while I was away?

No ribs while you were gone, I wouldn’t do that to you
However, I wanted to ensure the recipe was saved in case we decided we wanted to bbq ribs sometime in the near future…
