I saw the article this morning, and found it kind of funny. To think of the great US of A doing without BC Bud is just to much. I can picture now the desperate smokers, on their knees, pleading with their government to raise the value of their dollar so that BC Bud will again become affordable. I can hear the thumps as they collapse and hit the ground. And soon they will be up here buying seeds and starting their own back yard growing operations. Then again, maybe there is a reason the stuff is grown in BC. And people will pay anything for it. However, another thought struck me. In whose best interest would it be to give the idea that BC Bud is no longer being shipped to the US of A because of costs? Could this photo-op possibly benefit the growers and shippers? Is there a possibility that once US customs discovers BC Bud is no longer affordable, will customs lose interest in searching for it and move on to bigger and better things? Hopefully readers will not think me cynical when I wonder about the purpose of any news conference held by Marc Emery. So in the long run, I kind of wonder if the growers of BC Bud are cheering the rise in the dollar as it will mean more money in their pocket now the dollars are at par.
